Field Renovation - UPDATES

Dennis Donovan and Mike Riva met with The City of Indian Rocks Beach on Tuesday August 22nd to discuss the status of the field.

Here are a few of the highlights from that meeting:

* The field will not be available before 11:00 AM to allow workers to perform any necessary maintenance or repairs to the field.

* Sometime in mid September, the Little League coaches, IRBSSL Team Managers and IRBSSL BOD will be meeting at the field (with the city and the contractor) to explain the maintenance do's and don'ts and how to perform the maintenance of the field.

* The City of IRB and The West Pinellas Little League will be holding a short Season Opening Event on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 9:00 AM. They have asked us to attend this event to show our support.

* Dugouts have been painted

* Bathrooms have been cleaned and upgraded

* The fans we hoped to have installed in the dugouts were not approved due to electrical work necessary to install. However, they intend to possibly replace the field lights and will consider the work required to have fans installed sometime within the next year.
